This project was developed by Brimbank City Council for children that visited the library after
school. These one hour workshops took place weekly for nine (9) weeks. The majority of the
children were from migrants groups; Sudan & Vietnam. The purpose of the workshops was to
create a temporary installation within the library. A large canvas mural (3 x 1.5 metres) was
created for either a wall display or scroll, that was rolled out on the floor. The theme was to,
create a scene of their perfect environment and the resulting picture features them riding in a
giant gold limousine travelling through a magical garden wonderland. The community interaction
was continued at an opening event where a display of murals (made of collages) were installed in the library.
